•  What does VerbaLearn do?

  VerbaLearn is an online learning system that helps students build their vocabulary. Students will also learn improved word usage, spelling, and pronunciation.

•  Is VerbaLearn really free?

  Yes, VerbaLearn offers both free and premium (paid) accounts. We want to help those who need it most and that means offering courses at no charge!

•  Why is verbalearning better than other methods of studying?

  Most importantly, we customize the words each student studies to just the ones he or she needs to concentrate on learning. Also, verbalearning builds vocabulary more efficiently than any other study method because students don't use just one technique to learn. We allow students to build their word knowledge by listening to audio, watching video, reviewing example sentences, completing crossword puzzles, practicing spelling, or simply by good-old-fashioned memorization.

•  What can be studied on VerbaLearn?

  VerbaLearn offers comprehensive vocabulary courses for the SAT, ACT and GRE. VerbaLearn also offers a free General Vocabulary course that can be used to study for other English language tests, for personal/professional development, or to simply combat memory loss.

•  How long does it take to complete a VerbaLearn course?

  There is no set time to complete a course because we allow each student to customize the length of his study session and to move through the course at his own pace. So, whether students need to complete the course in a week or a couple of months, VerbaLearn can help them do it!

•  What is required to sign up for VerbaLearn?

  All that is needed to start verbalearning is a valid email address and an internet connection.

•  Can VerbaLearn be used without an mp3 player?

  Yes! VerbaLearn can be used by either listening to the mp3 files directly on a computer or by simply reviewing example sentences online.

•  How are the mp3 files transfered?
  • Subscribe to a personal podcast series.  By using iTunes, or any other podcast aggregator, the mp3 files will be automatically downloaded to the student's computer every time a new Studylist is built.
  • Manually download the files from the website.  By following the "Listen Offline" link on the student's homepage, each studylist can be downloaded to a computer and listened to at anytime.
•  How do I let VerbaLearn know if there is an error on the website?

VerbaLearn Plus FAQ

•  What is VerbaLearn Plus?

  VerbaLearn Plus allows students to use all of the premium features available on VerbaLearn.com for a one time fee of $20. VerbaLearn Free members do not have access to these premium features.

•  Why would I want my child to have VerbaLearn Plus?

  By using the premium features available with VerbaLearn Plus, students can particiate in more engaging excercises to rapidly learn the words in their VerbaLearn course.

•  Are there different vocabulary words between VerbaLearn Free and VerbaLearn Plus?

  No. The vocabulary words in a particular course on VerbaLearn.com are always the same regardless of what program is used.

VerbaLearn2Earn Sponsored FAQ

•  What is VerbaLearn2Earn Sponsored?

  VerbaLearn2Earn Sponsored is our new motivational program which allows a parent or relative to place money into the system in order to provide the student with cash rewards to motivate them while studying!

•  Does VerbaLearn2Earn Sponsored include all the premium features?

  Yes. VerbaLearn2Earn Sponsored members get access to all premium features available on VerbaLearn.com.

•  How does my child earn cash using VerbaLearn2Earn Sponsored?

  Once you place money into his VerbaLearn.com account, your child automatically starts earning back a portion of that money each time he learns a new word. If your child finishes all of the words in his course, he will earn back all of the money!

•  How do I sponsor a student?

  You can sponsor a student by clicking on Sponsor Now under the "Parents" tab on VerbaLearn.com. Enrollment is easy and only takes a minute!

•  How do the students receive the cash?

  It's so easy and fast! Once a student has earned at least $10 through VerbaLearn2Earn, he simply requests the earned cash with the click of a button and a VerbaLearn Cash Card will be sent to him within 2 weeks. Any subsequent requests for cash from Verbalearn2Earn will be automatically reloaded onto the same card within 48 hours!

•  Are the VerbaLearn Cash Cards really good anywhere?

  Yes! The VerbaLearn Cash Card is a pre-paid debit card. It's just like receiving a Visa™ or MasterCard™ gift card.

•  Can more than one person sponsor a student the same time?

  Yes! Students can have as many people as they like sponsoring their study efforts. The more money in their VerbaLearn2Earn accounts, the more motivated they will be!

•  Can a student be sponsored part way through their VerbaLearn course?

  Yes! A student can be sponsored at anytime during their studying. The amount added to a students cash rewards each time he learns a new word will be based on the number of words remaining in the course when he is sponsored.

•  Is there a minimum or maximum amount that I can sponsor a student for?

  Each sponsor must place a minimum of $60.00 into a VerbaLearn2Earn account to get started and can not place more than $200.00 in an account per transaction.
